School Readiness Program

School readiness begins long before children enter prekindergarten. Early experiences play a key role in preparing children for success in school by supporting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Florida’s School Readiness (SR) Program provides financial assistance to eligible low-income families for early education and childcare. This support helps parents work or pursue education while ensuring their children receive high-quality care and are better prepared for school.

Services are tailored to each family’s needs and may include extended daycare, after-school programs, and care for school-age children.
